In May we married a couple from Switzerland. I was really impressed with their wedding rings and to my surprise they have made the rings themselves at a jewlery workshop. They said it was a lot of work but tremendously meaningful to them. He made her ring and she made his. I have never heard about this option and googled my way to find out if this is also available in the US. The workshop is taught by a skilled goldsmith and no prior skills are necessary. The jeweler will guide you step by step to make the one of a kind ring for your loved one. You can be really creative to make your own foot towels if you are planning a beach wedding. They are very decorative, inexpensive and help guests after the wedding to get rid of the sand. You can present the towels in a little basket or lay them out on a table.
Here is what you need:
Inexpensive regular wash cloths in the color of your choice, ribbons, favor decoration,little flowers, seashells or whatever you like, favor tags, scissors, hot glue.
The cheapest wash cloths you can find in stores like Big Lots and Walmart. They are white and lower quality towels but work fine for what you use them for. They come in multi packs of 10 and are around $5 per pack.
Take the wash cloth, fold it in half and roll tightly. Cut the ribbon and tie it around the rolled wash cloth. Decorate the knot with a seashell, favor decoration or flowers. Shells have to be carefully glued on, while many other favor decorations have wire that you can attach direclty with the ribbon. Add a favor or name tag and you are done.

How to make your own labels for a water bottle:
What you need:
Dasani 8fl oz water bottles, computer, printer, Microsoft publisher, Self adhesive 8 1/2 x 11 printing paper or heavier stock regular paper, scissors or paper cutter, glue.
One sheet of paper will make 5 labels.
Download the template file, save it on your computer, unzip the folder and open the file with Microsoft publisher. To customize the label change the text and pictures as needed.
The label template is in a turquoise and light blue nautical theme with sand dollar and shells fitting to a beach wedding. I found that the Dasani Water bottles fit best but you can also try with some other brands. Have fun creating your labels
